The RMS utilizes an automatic hopper lift feature which allows the operator to safely load tablets without lifting product overhead.

From the hopper, tablets are presented to 5 sorting lanes, each with a pair of declined, rotating, divergently aligned, hardened polished steel rollers.

As the product travels between the set of rollers, overly thin, acceptable and overly thick tablets are sorted in one of 3 zones. Non-conforming tablets fall into reject bins, while conforming tablets can be discharged into a good product bin or linked to a downstream conveyor.

The machine presents product from the hopper onto the steel (or plastic) roller conveyor in a single layer, allowing proper spacing for product rotation and viewing.

As the products are conveyed each is automatically rotated 360 degrees several times and presented to the inspector(s) under the overhead lamp. They can inspect for visible defects on the tablet or capsule surfaces; such as cracks, splits, black spots, chips and printing errors.

Removal of the defective product is easy with a vacuum wand, while maintaining production speed.
