ISPE Aseptic Conference 2018 — contributions from Bosch Packaging Technology product manager

Don´t miss the ISPE Aseptic Conference 2018, March 6-7 in Reston, Virginia. The event will be held for the 27th time and will give pharmaceutical industry professionals the opportunity to learn about barrier systems, patient safety and the latest aseptic filling technologies.

This year’s focus will cover robotics, sterility assurance, use of single-use technology and upgrading legacy facilities. Furthermore, a new half-day course on highly potent and toxic products will be provided.

The FDA faces the questions of professionals

The ISPE is particularly proud of the commitment of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Once again this year FDA experts will give local insights into regulatory issues and invite to engage in a mutual dialogue. On the first day the Aseptic Conference will be opened by Robert Sausville (Director, Division Case Management, FDA / CBER / OCBQ / DCM). He will also moderate the regulatory panel on the following day.

At the beginning of the conference six companies will present their experiences and advantages in the use of robotics in aseptic processing as part of a panel discussion. Another highlight of this year’s Aseptic Conference will be the large and exciting case studies presented by experts from the pharmaceutical industry.

On the second day Joyce Hansen (Vice President, J & J Sterility Assurance, Johnson & Johnson) will talk about visions for upgrading legacy facilities. Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to join in discussions and interactive breakout sessions.

The Aseptic Conference offers a huge amount of information and training opportunities. It is rightly ranked as industry leading conference on the field of aseptic filling.
