Bosch at Interphex 2019: Innovations for the production of solid pharmaceuticals

Bosch Packaging will be exhibiting at Interphex 2019 in New York, booth 3305. Bosch will highlight our innovations for the production of solid pharmaceuticals.

At the booth:
Xelum – R&D Continuous Manufacturing
Xelum combines development of batch and continuous pharma solid dosage processes with flexible, contained small-scale manufacturing, all in one unit. It includes fully automated dosing, mixing, granulation, drying and discharging. Thanks to the Xelum X-key principle, scale up is not required and traceability of ingredients is incorporated.

GKF 720 – Highly flexible capsule filling machine for R&D and small batches
The GKF 720 is a highly flexible small batch production machine, designed to process (microdosing) powders, pellets, (mini-)tablets and combinations into capsules with integrated quality inspection and PAT features for OEB3 to OEB5 products. A plug-in dosing module can be changed in less than five minutes in a simple and fail-safe way.

TIAS Tooling inspection and analysis system
Our new version of the Tooling Inspection and Analysis System (TIAS) – single & multi-tip laser inspection & analysis system for tablet press will be at the show. The TIAS replaces the time-consuming and expensive manual measuring process for new and in-use tablet compression tooling with accurate, repeatable, and automated measuring for both single & multi-tip tooling.

Visit Booth 3305 to talk with a Bosch expert for more information about these and other new technologies.

Automated process development for hard capsule filling – a new technology for real Quality by Design
To develop efficient and robust powder filling process in hard capsules, the Automated Process Development (APD) technology provides a unique solution. DoE, a high level of automation and fast tests to match process parameters and material attributes, allows a big step to real Quality by Design.

Xelum®, latest insights into the new Bosch continuous manufacturing platform
The suitability of the Xelum® continuous manufacturing technology for small-scale batches from 1 to 100 kg will be demonstrated. Furthermore, the new benchmark for precise dosing of less than 1% is presented and an insight into the golden x-key approach is given.
